I am on the last leg of 2nd trimester, from Saturday i.e.:- 10th May will be stepping on to my 3rd Trimester. Wow!!! I am been successful in handling all the traumas that a woman goes through.
My hubby and I planned to have a child right from day 1 of our wedding, infact we discussed about family planning soon after we got engaged. God gifted us a child in my womb on the 2nd day of our wedding. This is indeed a miracle as I see people still wanting to become parents but they are unable to.
I feel I conceived when we were in the back waters at Kerala during our honeymoon. Back waters stay during night was just an incredible experience and a thought to become parents during that night was spectacular. I prayed to God before we became one and had a wish to conceive that very day. I never knew even he was praying in his heart asking for the same GIFT; gift of our child.
We returned and soon on the 4 weeks got signs of conception. Instead of blood check we went for quick home check taking the local pregnancy strip and guess what; we understood that I have conceived. To confirm we rechecked it 2 more times and somewhat got convinced that yes I have conceived.
1st Doctors visit wasn’t that fruitful as she never asked for any check, neither anomaly check nor a blood check, and straight away wrote medicines, although I consumed all the medicines written I was still reluctant and unsure about the pregnancy.
On completion of 8th week we planned to change doctor, and here it goes, we landed up with the correct doctor I feel. Immediately she asked us to do anomaly check followed by another anomaly detailed check for the 3rd month to be done on 6th Jan 2015.
6th Jan when I saw my child in my womb I was overwhelmed seeing it moving its little limbs and body in my womb in ultra-sound anomaly check, it was about 4 inches long and hardly any structure was formed. To my mom-in-law it looked like an insect (Kidda), she kept repeating to my hubby that it’s still like an insect, where he used to bounce back answering, it is not an insect, ITS MY CHILD. Wow!! Those words encouraged me at every step till now. My hubby is with me, he loves our child as much as I do, or may be much more than I can think of.
My baby grew in my womb; still my stomach wasn’t showing up, I put on approx. 4kgs towards end of 1st Trimester. I started worrying if my baby is growing enough, because I could not feel the growth, I felt only I was growing in size and not my baby. But at the same time I used to feel hungry and so used to eat.
Towards last week of my 1st Trimester i.e.:- 12 week, those days were as equal as a nightmare to me. I felt nausea at every morsel that I took; I could smell oil in the cooked food and even smell overcooked food. The only thing I could eat was curd. Curd was life saver for me during that time, as every possible food I mixed curd and ate. Ahh, days do not remain as they are.
I stepped on to my 2nd Trimester, days changed, feelings changed and I felt suddenly energetic and full of life. Sometimes I never even felt that I am pregnant. I felt I was back normal. But the increasing weight always kept me alarmed that something/ someone is growing in me. Now this trimester I gained almost 10 kilograms, yes, I know it’s too much, but guess my body is accommodative or rather too impulsive in gaining weight. By the way it is not the first time I gained weight soon. I have the tendency to put on weight. Ups and downs were a part of my 2nd trimester.
I spotted bleeding twice this trimester; I even dreamt that I lost my child while urinating. This bought my heart in my mouth. Suddenly while bathing one day some flesh fell off, it trembled me from top till toe. I rushed to the doctor and then understood that it is called “Colips”. We went on to search the reason for Colips to appear and also to fall off and understood it was by the grace of God it fell off on its own, or else I would have had to go for an operation.
Lately last week, had travelled to remote place, when returned noticed some wetness and on checking noticed blood spotting again, I cursed myself to travel such long distance. I never want my baby to be affected in any case because of my utter stupidity. Anyway I exert so much travelling to-and-fro from my office to house. The distance between my office and house is about 56kms one way, these sums up to 112kms travel everyday via public transport.
I decided to rest my body completely and took long leave. Guess what? I am back normal, on the last leg of 2nd Trimester now. I can feel every kicks and every movement of my baby.
Had been for a routine check-up yesterday and by the grace of God our child is healthy and all okay in the womb inside. Need to intake more protein and unfortunately will have to eat non-veg a lot this trimester (the worst food I ever want to eat). I like to be vegetarian. I love vegetarian food.
Now my baby keeps moving inside. The best part is it moves even when I am walking, hehehe love this feeling. And what makes me happier is the thought of holding my own child, my own flesh; seeing the face of my baby. May be like me or may be like my hubby.
Wow…….alas am ending my 2nd Trimester….
Like sun which rises, the rays stays and then disappear in the darkness of the night; similarly thoughts rise, some stays and remaining disappears. But the one thought which stays rises up high to form the Desire (Daylight)..!!

A New-little member in my family (My life)
Here I am to share about my new-family member. Today is the 17th day of my baby and in these 17 days he should us 17 months. He was born on 20th September morning around 9:24 am, in this short span of time he showed us the world, and made our dream come true.
Feel like sharing what all he did in these days.
First day: - Like the normal baby he behaved, and opened his eyes. We all were so excited to see his open eyes, the colour of his eyes are jet-black, well shaped like a pea-cock, reddish fair colour and a slick structure. He was looking replica of my late father. The juncture I saw his face I was zapped, amazed and welcomed my father in the house.
Second day:- I did not see him on the second day, but understood that the doctor was supposed to be discharging; bhabhi and baby both were all ready to come home. I started calling him with the name 'Nanu' which means 'Small'.
Third day:- He was bought home. This day onwards he started applying force to his body to push himself upwards. This was just amazing to see. Generally small babies try this act only when they are a month old and above.
This day was the 5th day of Ganapati Visarjan and as our house is road touched there was tremendous noise, but Nanu didn't react and still had peaceful sleep.
Fourth day:- As this was Sunday, all the relatives and my friends had come home. In such a lovely event, I had made Veg-Biryani and mummy made chicken for all. Can you believe Nanu had all the patience in the world to be calm and had a peaceful sleep even when everyone was around him and was trying to play with him.
Fifth day: From this day onwards he started biting his mummy's nipples while breast-feeding. When bhabhi told about this we all were too surprised to know and delayed this conversation for obvious.
Sixth day:- Can you believe from this night onwards he started sleeping on one side. He started drinking milk turning towards one-side. Babies generally do this after 3th month but my baby started doing it from 6th day onwards. And his biting nipples continued since a day before.
Seventh day :- This day we noticed that baby got jaundice, his eyes turned yellow and his body pale. We all were too afraid. Got to know from friends that now-a-days its common for infants to get jaundice and should be taken out early morning to give sun-rays.
Eight day:- He was taken to the doctor and doctor advised for a blood test, doctor discovered that his jaundice level is 18 points whereas the normal level is 15 points. It was pretty serious, he was admitted immediately and was kept in the hospital for another 3 days.
When his blood was taken doctors couldn't find his nerves and they were trying to find one. They were poking niddles in the tiny little hands and finally managed to find.
Ninth day: - He was in the hospital and advised to be kept without any clothes in the incubator. My Nanu understood this and he became smarter than before.
His eyes were covered so that the light should not disturb his eyes and create any problem. He learned how to remove the eyes-cover. He also used to understood when stepped into the room.
After a long struggle, doctors instead of putting an eyes-cover they made a modified eyes-cover and played tricks with Nanu, can you believe doctor had to actually give a replacement. He took cotton stretched it wrapped it with a cotton band and sticked it on the sides with a cello-tape so that even though how hard he try he will not be able to remove it at least for that time. But doctors were not sure whether he would be fooled with this or will have a way out of this as well.
One thing that was pretty surprising was, when beautiful nurses used to carry him, he used to be very quiet and so pleasing that couldn't make out that this tiny child can play any mischief.
Tenth day:- He was in the hospital and continued the same behaviour. But by the grace of God his health became normal and he was bought home.
Eleventh day: - He ensured that the nipples were wounded.
Twelfth day: - Can you believe when mummy checked bhabhi's nipples this day, she was too surprised to see that the nipples were bleeding and had puss.
When bhabhi informed his doctor, doctor couldn't believe that a small baby who is just 12 days old can ever do such thing.
Thirteen day: - Bhabhi finally went to the local-family doctor to take medication.
Can you believe doctor's first question. Well, you would be surprised to know. The very first question was "How many years old is the baby?" Bhabhi couldn't believe this, but still ignoring the same question she asked the doctor to repeat the question, doctor repeated the same question.
This time bhabhi told the doctor that he is just 12 days and today is the 13th day.
Doctor couldn't believe this and commented saying that children of about 5-6 months can do these. Well, she gave medicines and asked to stop breast-feeding for 3 day as this could pass on infection to the baby.
From this day onwards we started feeding him through feeding-bottle. Without a-do he started sucking milk so efficiently that no one could make out that a baby on 13th day can do so.
Fourteen day:- Baby started turning on one-side as well as pushing upwards as well as drinking milk from a feeding-bottle. This day we noticed his style of passing urine and stool.
Can you believe this little life, takes so much pleasure in passing motion. He remains stand-still, like a very innocent child and a sweet cute look when passing motion. We observed him to be very quiet this evening and when gave him milk to drink he refused by not sucking and a very searching eyes; later we observed that he is passing stool, he didn't pass stool from past 3 days and doctor's had said that it was normal for a baby.
Ufff in these 14 days he showed us 14 months of time.
Fifteen day: - He started showing improvement in his health as bhai and bhabhi started showing him early morning sun-rays. From this day onwards I personally observed that his looks started changing, now he has a sharp features, a straight nose, reddish-fair colour, slick structure and a very very sweet voice.
Sixteen day: - The colour of his eyes started turning white, and we were feeling relaxed noticing that his health is improving.
Something I noticed during these days, he passes a lawn-green colour stool. And one thing really amazing I learned from mummy is that when children keep looking at a colour they pass the same colour stool. Our house is surrounded with green long trees and therefore as he keeps looking out of the window on the green, well leafed, long trees.
He enjoys the twittering sound of the birds outside the window. He has a very very cute smile which he gives only while sleeping.
This day I clicked his first picture, hiding from mummy as she is very strict against clicking pictures of him till his baptism. Anyway I clicked his picture and also made a small video of him.
Showed this to mummy she was initially angry but loved when she saw Nanu's million dollar smile in the video which is captured.
Today is the 17th day and this day I got the chance to change his clothes and wipe his small cute tiny bump when he passed stool.
Thats about my Little Nanu, our new family member and OUR LIFE.
Shall surely put up his every new developments and if Mummy permits his pics too.
